Customers Demand Ease-of-Use and Fast Deployment

Our channel partners are critical to our business success. They are an extension of our go-to-market team. Together we look for opportunities to help customers with their storage challenges and boost their competitive advantage in the market.

But more importantly, our partners are members of the K-family. They too work hard and play hard.

Starting today, we’ll be shining the spotlight on some of our top partners and hear about their business successes and passions. In this debut post, I sat down with Dave Cerniglia — founder and CEO of Consiliant Technologies — to discuss, trends, customer pain points and his partnership with Kaminario.

Give it a read.

Tell me a little about your company.
Consiliant was founded in 2002 as a storage and storage infrastructure company. Since inception we have evolved in to a professional services and IT solutions provider, concentrating on data center, security, cloud, mobility and consulting. Our engineering staff has enabled us to help medium to larger businesses address their critical IT initiatives. We focus on various verticals, including financial, healthcare, transportation, hospitality and retail customers.

What are some of the trends you are seeing in the industry?
We are seeing customers embrace technology differently as they look to solve IT problems in a non-traditional fashion. The demand for ease-of-use along with faster deployments are increasing. Customers are consolidating their server, storage and networking environments and trying to get more functionality with less complexity, while reducing their capital expenditures. Cloud adoption is being scrutinized as functionality and total cost of ownership raises concerns. Some customers have seen rapid adoption of the cloud due to ease of deployment and seemingly upfront low entry costs. There is now a realization that expenditures in the cloud market are more expensive than originally thought and purging data comes at a high price.

What are your customers biggest pain points, especially in healthcare, and how are you solving them?
The biggest pain points we see involve expanding IT requirements to be served with less man power and tight budgets. Our engineering expertise along with virtualization, hyper convergence and all-flash arrays are a few of the predominant solutions we implement to address customer initiatives.

Why did you choose to partner with Kaminario?
We partner with Kaminario because the company makes the best all-flash technology available in the industry, backed by exemplary service and an unmatched product warranty. We have had the opportunity to engage with Kaminario employees at all levels — from college interns to the CEO. Everyone we have encountered is dedicated to the success of our customers. Kaminario believes in building meaningful relationships which translates into genuine interest in our business and unconditional trust.

What’s your passion?
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife Erin and our four children. When I have a free weekend, I enjoy SCUBA diving in the beautiful waters around our local Channel Islands and interacting with the amazing marine lives.
